Former Texas Ranger Bubba Thompson Joins South Alabama QB Room
Former Ranger's outfielder and 1st-round draft pick, Bubba Thompson, has made the switch from the MLB dugouts to a Division I QB room.
Thompson played for the Texas Rangers from 2022-2023, before being traded to the Cincinnati Reds, where he spent the 2024 MLB season. And now, he’s officially joined the South Alabama Jaguars of the Sun Belt Conference.
During his time in Major League Baseball, he accumulated 1 home-run, 13 hits, and 27 stolen bases with a .232 batting average.
While quarterback at McGill Toolen High School in Alabama, he earned Division I Football scholarships from the likes of Tennessee and Ole Miss.
Now, after not meeting his full potential in the major leagues, he plans take another swing at football at the young age of 27.
