This Texas Based Company Is On Pace To Replace Uber

Founded in Austin, Texas in 2020, Fetii, the modern ride-sharing company that focuses specifically on transporting groups of people, rather than individuals or small parties, is getting ready to dominate the transportation market.

The Austin, Texas start-up was created to solve a common problem: when groups of six or more people want to travel together, traditional options like Uber or Lyft often require splitting into multiple cars. Fetii’s solution is a platform that combines the convenience of rideshare apps with the capacity of larger vehicles, allowing groups to stay together in a single ride.

Users can request or schedule rides through the app, selecting a vehicle—typically a 15-passenger van—that fits their group size. Once the vehicle arrives, passengers check in by scanning a QR code, which allows each rider to pay their portion of the fare individually. This feature eliminates the hassle of one person covering the cost and collecting money later.

This model has made Fetii particularly popular among college students and young adults, who often travel in groups for social events, as well as organizations planning corporate outings or large gatherings

As it expands into more cities across the United States, Fetii continues to position itself as an alternative to both traditional rideshare services and pre-booked charter transportation, offering a flexible, on-demand solution for group travel.

Fetii has the potential to surpass Uber in specific markets by focusing on a gap Uber does not efficiently serve: large-group transportation.

While Uber’s model is optimized for individuals or small parties, Fetii’s ability to move 10–15 passengers in a single vehicle—combined with seamless split payments—offers a more convenient and often cheaper solution for groups.

This creates strong appeal in high-demand social settings like college towns, events, and nightlife districts, where groups frequently travel together.
