Tejano Music Star Running For Congress In South Texas

Tejano musician, Bobby Pulido, has announced that he is making a run for Congress in Texas’ 15th Congressional District in South Texas, a district that President Trump won with an 18% margin in 2024.

Pulido will be taking on Rep. Monica De La Cruz (R-TX) for her seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Congresswoman De La Cruz is the first Hispanic Republican woman to represent the state Texas in Congress.

Rep. De La Cruz has helped to pass legislation to secure the southern border, stop the flow of fentanyl, and support local agriculture.

Bobby Pulido, an Edinburg Native, has spent the last few decades recording Tejano and Mexican-style music. Pulido has announced that he will be running as a Democrat, attempting to the flip the overwhelmingly republican county.
