Texas State Moving Up To Power 5 Conference?
According to ESPN analyst, Pete Thamel, the Texas State Bobcats are the “heavy favorites” to make the move up to the “Power 5” Conference and receive an invitation from the PAC-12 Conference.
The PAC-12, a long-time power conference, is currently in a rebuilding phase after losing over ten of its schools to the Big 10, Big 12, and ACC. Leaving them with only Oregon State and Washington State.
They have since added Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, San Diego State, and Utah State. They are now looking to expand into Texas and Texas State appears to be the heavy favorite and best remaining school that’s up for grabs.
