Turning Point USA Endorses Greg Abbott For 2026 Governor's Race
Turning Point USA has publicly announced that they are endorsing Governor Greg Abbott, who is running for a fourth term in office, for the 2026 Texas Governor's Race. If elected, it would make him the longest-serving governor in Texas history.
There are however multiple candidates from both parties running for Governor this year. Listed below are some of the most notable candidates from across the state.
🔵 Gina Hinojosa - Gina Hinojosa is a Texas state representative from Austin and a prominent Democratic candidate for governor. She previously served on the Austin school board and has emphasized public education and healthcare affordability. Her campaign positions her as a progressive challenger to current state leadership.
🔴 Pete Chambers - Pete Chambers is a Republican challenger running against Abbott in the GOP primary. He is known as a physician, veteran, and activist who has been involved in border-related initiatives. Chambers’ campaign highlights immigration enforcement, conservative policy priorities, and grassroots organizing.
🔵 Chris Bell - Chris Bell is a former U.S. representative who has run for statewide office multiple times. He is again seeking the Democratic nomination for governor in 2026. Bell often campaigns on government ethics, public school funding, and expanding healthcare access.
🔵 Andrew White - Andrew White is a businessman and the son of former Texas governor Mark White. He has previously run for governor and is attempting another campaign in 2026. White is generally viewed as a more moderate Democrat focusing on economic development and bipartisan solutions.
